A leading light to a wreck.

 

This stamp depicts a dark period of Sark Island. Around the XV century the island was populated by pirates and outlaws mostly. A common practice in stormy nights of these pirates was lure lost ships direct to the surrounding rocks using lighting beacons or bonfires.
